Ice Road Truckers Marathon

I must be living under a rock lately because I have never heard of the show called “Ice Road Truckers” but yesterday stumbled across it while channel surfing. For some ungodly reason this documentary series is on the History channel – what this show has to do with history I could not tell you. But as I was surfing something about the show caught my eye and I was hooked.

They were running an all day marathon of the first complete season as a prelude to the night’s new season premiere. I missed the first several shows but watched a good number of them and then stayed tuned to watch the series premiere, too. It was riveting and I’ll be making a point of watching this every Sunday night from now one.

Cracker Barrel Rocks

About the only place around here to get a great breakfast is Cracker Barrel. There is always Waffle House – yuck – and Shoneys, with a couple of IHOPs here and there. But Cracker Barrels are all over and they are consistently great, homestyle food at a fair price.

This morning I ordered the special, called Grandma’s Blueberry Pancakes. The order came with two huge blueberry pancakes with a jar of Smuckers warmed blueberry syrup. It also came with two eggs cooked to order, two smoked sausage patties, hash browns, and a plate with homemade biscuits and gravy. All for $6.00 and with coffee and a tip you can’t get a better breakfast deal for under $10.

Awesome Thriller

Have to say that I didn’t expect much from this movie. I knew it was based on a Playstation 2 game and haven’s seen a movie worth a hoot based on video games yet. But this one ROCKED. If you like anything like the James Bond or Bourne Supremecy or Alias series, this movie will keep your interest with a decent storyline and deliver lots of action.

If you have a chance to see the movie, Hitman, do it.
